POKER GAMES

There are so many wonderful poker games to play. The most popular poker game is called Texas Hold'em Poker. Other online poker games are.. Five Card Draw Poker, Stud Poker, Omaha Poker, and Horse Poker. Horse Poker combines Texas Hold'em, Stud, Razz and Omaha Poker.

Here are some details about each poker game:

Heads-Up Poker
Selected games in the Poker suite may be played on a 1-on-1 basis, although the 1-on-1 games will vary from their parent games.

Texas Hold'em Poker
Texas Hold'em is currently the most popular form of poker. Players are dealt 2 cards face down. There is then a round of betting, followed by three cards dealt face up in the center of the table (the flop). Another round of betting follows, then another card is dealt face up on the table (the turn), more betting, and a final face up card (the river), followed by a final round of betting. Players then make the best hand using any 5 of the 7 cards available (2 in their hand and 5 on the table).

Omaha Poker
Omaha is exactly the same as Texas Hold'em, except that players are dealt 4 cards (instead of 2) and must use exactly 2 cards from their hand and 3 from the table to make up their 5 card hand. Because there are far more possible good hands out, players need a better hand to win than in Texas Hold'em (a pair is rarely any good in Omaha). We also offer Omaha High/Low, where half the pot goes to the best hand and half goes to the low hand, so there are two ways to win.

7 Card Stud Poker
# A game for 2-8 players, each player receives 3 starting cards (2 face down and one face up). The player with the lowest up card opens the betting. After a round of betting, each player receives another card face up. The action then follows betting (high hand on board opens from now on), face up card, betting, face up card and betting before a final card is dealt face down. One final round of betting follows and a showdown ensues, with the best 5 card hand taking the pot.

5 Card Stud Poker
5 Card Stud is the poker game made famous in the film The Cincinatti Kid. Rules are the same as for 7 Card Stud, except each player receives only 2 cards initially (1 face down, 1 face up) and the remaining 3 cards are all dealt face up. Because four of the player's 5 cards are visible to all, 5 card stud is a game of pairs and 3 of a kind, as it is difficult to win much money with straights and flushes, as it is obvious to the others players when you might have them.

Horse Poker
Horse combines Texas Hold'em Poker, Omaha Poker, Razz Poker and Stud Poker. Play alternates between the 4 different types of poker games.
